The Magicka
The collection was inspired by female power and intuition. Every piece was designed for a different woman, but a red thread connected them all: women who recognized and accepted their own powers. Women who used jewelery as a tool to deepen their connection to nature.
Every Stone and Every Design Belonged to the Mystical Woman I Imagined Wearing it. The poems gave those women a voice, and gave me a way to express something of myself through them.
Back then, “Magickal” was the closest word I had for it.
Looking at La Magicka Today, I Recognise That Same Woman. She has grown with her powers. She trusts her intuition more deeply and has become more in tune with herself.
She is now a diva.
And somewhere in these collages, there is still me, finding my first way to bring her into the world.
